Pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (c) of Section 4 of the Sewerage Authorities Law of the State of New Jersey (Laws of 1946, Chapter 138, as amended and supplemented[1]), there is hereby created a public body corporate and politic under the name and style of the "Pequannock River Basin Regional Sewerage Authority."

The Pequannock River Basin Regional Sewerage Authority is and shall be an agency and instrumentality of the said participants created by parallel ordinances duly adopted by their governing bodies, and is a sewerage authority as contemplated and provide for by said Sewerage Authorities Law and shall have and exercise all of the powers and perform all of the duties provided for by said Sewerage Authorities Law and any other statutes heretofore or hereafter enacted and applicable thereto.

A. 
The Pequannock River Basin Regional Sewerage Authority shall consist of six members with two such members appointed by the governing body of each of the participants, all in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (c) of Section 4 of said Sewerage Authorities Law.
B. 
The aforesaid Commissioners shall be compensated pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (d) of Section 5 of said Sewerage Authorities Law in an annual sum not to exceed $2,000 in any given year.
C. 
The compensation amount shall be established annually by resolution of the Authority, consistent with the provisions of the aforesaid Section 5(d).
A copy of this article duly certified by the Borough Clerk shall forthwith be filed by said Borough Clerk in the office of the Secretary of State of New Jersey.
This chapter shall take effect 10 days after publication thereof by title after its final passage, as provided by law, but shall be of no further force or effect after December 31, 1974, unless on or before said date a parallel ordinance shall have been adopted by the governing body of each of the other participants.
