The City of Greensburg hereby accepts the provisions of the Act of June 26, 1931, P.L. 1379, as amended by the Act of November 24, 1967, P.L. 520, § 1 (72 P.S. § 5350j), which Act provides for the acceptance by cities of the third class of assessments of real property made by counties of the third class for real property taxes. The acceptance of assessments provided by Westmoreland County shall be effective for real property taxes for the year 1977 and subsequent years.
A ratio of 100% of actual market value of all real property situate in the City of Greensburg, as determined by Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, shall be used to determine assessed value for tax purposes in the City of Greensburg for the year 1977 and for subsequent years, until such time as a different ratio may be determined by an ordinance of the City of Greensburg.
The Mayor, the City Treasurer and the City Solicitor are hereby authorized and directed to take all action necessary to comply with the provisions of the aforesaid Act.
The Office of the City Assessor is abolished as of 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1976.
