It shall be unlawful for any person to erect an automobile filling station or install a storage tank for gasoline or diesel fuel oil, gasoline pump or pump for dispensing motor fuel oil of any type whatsoever adapted for dispensing, containing or furnishing gasoline motor fuel oil or to install any apparatus for furnishing air or water to motor vehicles, on any premises located within the village, without first obtaining from the Board of Trustees a permit for the installation thereof.

The sum of $100 shall be paid to the Village Clerk for the permit required in § 140-1.
No person shall alter, erect or install, or permit to be altered, erected or installed, any building, station, pump or other apparatus for the furnishing or dispensing of gasoline, oil, air or water to motor vehicles, unless same is so located and equipped that it shall be operated and used wholly inside the property lines of the premises on which same may be erected and not in any portion of any public street, avenue, road or highway within the village.
A. 
No person shall install or replace any tank to be used for the dispensing or storage of gasoline, flammable liquids or gas without having obtained a permit from the village and paying a fee of $50 for each tank so installed.

B. 
Inspection. Any underground installation made under this section must be inspected by a representative of the Building Department before being covered with earth.

Any sign advertising gasoline prices and all other signs used at gasoline stations must comply with the applicable requirements of the Chapter 203, Signs, of the Code.
