The position of Borough Clerk which exists pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A:9-133 shall be filled pursuant to the requirements of said statute.
The Clerk shall attend all meetings of the Council, keep a correct
record of its proceedings, and perform such other duties as the Council
may require, or as may be directed by law.
The position of Deputy Borough Clerk is hereby created pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135. The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be appointed
by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. The Deputy
Borough Clerk shall, during the absence or disability of the Borough
Clerk, have all the powers of the Borough Clerk, and shall perform
the functions and duties of such office. In addition, the Deputy Borough
Clerk shall be responsible to perform any and all duties assigned
to him or her by the Borough Clerk.
