A. 
No person shall fail to comply with any lawful order, signal or direction of a police officer.
B. 
Police officers shall have the power and authority to direct vehicles to proceed in a direction other than that in which the operator intended to proceed lawfully, for the purpose of avoiding or relieving traffic congestion, during emergencies, and to enforce temporary restrictions incident to street repairs or improvements.
No person shall fail to comply with the indications of any official traffic equipment, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
No person shall deface, damage, move, obstruct, destroy, change the wording of, alter or otherwise interfere with any traffic control device. No person shall deface, change the wording of, discard, destroy or throw away any traffic ticket, notice or summons.
Whoever violates any provisions of this chapter where another penalty is not provided shall, upon conviction thereof before the Mayor or any Alderman of the City, be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.) and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned not more than ten (10) days.
