An act establishing a Commission to investigate
and report on a proposed Connecticut River Bridge in the Town of Haddam.
There is established a Commission of five members,
two of said members to be residents of Middlesex County, to be appointed
by the Governor on or before July 1, 1955, to investigate and report
on, with plans and specifications and the estimated cost of construction
and financing of, a proposed bridge across the Connecticut River from
Haddam to Haddam Neck or Middle Haddam in Middlesex County. The Highway
Commissioner shall be a member of said Commission, ex officio.
The members of the Commission shall receive
no compensation for their services as such, but shall be reimbursed
for their necessary expenses as provided in Section 274 of the General
Statute. Said Commission shall secure from the Highway Commissioner,
such engineering and competent expert advice as may be found necessary
and expedient in the performance of its duties.
The Commission shall make a report of its findings
to the Governor and the 1957 General Assembly.
An act continuing the Commission to investigate
and report on a proposed Connecticut River Bridge in the Town of Haddam.
The Commission appointed under 422 of the Special
Acts of 1955 shall continue its investigation and report its findings
to the Governor and the 1959 regular session of the General Assembly.
