There shall be created the position of Code Enforcement Officer in the Borough of Dunellen.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council.
A. 
It shall be the responsibility of the Code Enforcement Officer to enforce the following enumerated ordinances as set forth in the Code of the Borough of Dunellen:

(1) 
Chapter 114, Brush, Grass and Weeds.
(2) 
Chapter 125, Buildings, Unfit.
(3) 
Chapter 186, Littering.
(4) 
Chapter 204, Parks and Playgrounds.
(5) 
Chapter 208, Peace and Good Order.
(6) 
Chapter 217, Property Maintenance.
(7) 
Chapter 245, Soil Removal.
(8) 
Chapter 256, Streets and Sidewalks.
(9) 
Chapter 271, Trailers and Boat Storage.
(10) 
Chapter 280, Vehicles, Abandoned.
B. 
Although the Code Enforcement Officer's primary responsibility shall be enforcing the above-enumerated ordinances, other municipal officials may also enforce said ordinances, and the delegation of this enforcement duty to the Code Enforcing Officer shall not preclude others from enforcing said ordinances.
The term of office of the Code Enforcement Officer shall be from January 1 to December 31.
