Editor's Note: A preamble to this ordinance stated that the Borough of Newfield had repealed an ordinance relating to the appointment of a Board of Health and that it was necessary to provide for the appointment of qualified persons to fill local agencies and to enact rules and regulations for their duties, as well as for the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens and other persons of the Borough.
The County of Gloucester acts as the Board of Health for the Borough.
For the purpose of this article, the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meaning given herein:
CITIZENS and PERSONS
Any individual within the municipality, whether a resident or not.
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
The Department of Health and its parts or subdivisions of the County of Gloucester, New Jersey.
LIAISON HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE
The person who shall act as the municipal representative to the County Department of Health, to coordinate the proper enforcement of health laws within the municipality and the utilization of health services and personnel available from the County Department of Health.
MUNICIPALITY
The Borough of Newfield, County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
All laws or administrative promulgations of the municipality, County Department of Health or State of New Jersey agencies or departments relating to health.
The Mayor shall, with the advice of Borough Council, appoint a Registrar of Vital Statistics, Clerk and Sanitary Inspector, Liaison Health Representative for the County Department of Health and such other officers, representatives and assistants deemed necessary to administer and enforce local ordinances, county rules, regulations and laws and State of New Jersey laws and administrative rules and regulations relating to health ordinances, rules, regulations and laws. Such persons appointed shall promptly report to the County Department of Health or the appropriate State of New Jersey agency or part thereof every violation of the health ordinances, county health laws, rules and regulations or State of New Jersey laws and administrative rules and regulations.
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Newfield shall have the right and authority to adopt ordinances, rules, regulations and laws relating to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and other persons within the municipality and as to the duties of such persons appointed under this article, consistent with the County Department of Health rules and regulations and State of New Jersey health laws and administrative rules and regulations.

The fees to be charged by the Office of the Clerk/Registrar of Vital Statistics for the Borough of Newfield for the issuance of certain certificates shall be as follows:
A. 
Certified marriage license: $20.
B. 
Certified certificate of birth: $20.
C. 
Certified certificate of death: $20.
