No person, persons, firm or corporation shall conduct, establish or maintain within the limits of the Borough of Westwood any show or performance, street meeting, parade, concert or exhibition of a permanent or temporary character without first obtaining a permit as hereinafter provided.
Any person, persons, firm or corporation desiring such permit shall make written application for the same, stating the character of such show, performance, parade, street meeting, exhibition or concert and the time when and location where the same is to be held. Such permit shall be granted by the Mayor and Council upon payment of fees as follows:
A. 
Shows, performances, parades, street meetings, exhibitions and concerts of a permanent character: $100.
B. 
Shows, performances, parades, exhibitions and concerts of a temporary character: $10 for each day that such show or performance be given.
C. 
Street meetings or parades: no permit fee.[1]

Every permit shall expire and cease to be valid after the expiration of the term for which it is issued, and in the case of permanent shows, the permit shall expire and cease to be valid one year from its date of issuance.

Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty, of the Code of the Borough of Westwood.

Such permit shall be revocable by the Borough Council upon five days' notice to the permittee.

This chapter shall not apply to shows, performances, street meetings, parades, exhibitions, and concerts given under the auspices of local charitable, religious, fraternal, educational, civic, or social organizations; provided, however, that no carnival or street fair shall be held anywhere in the Borough of Westwood by any organization without first obtaining the permission of the Mayor and Council.
