It shall be unlawful to make U-turns on any of the streets of Towanda Borough where, by resolution of the Borough, signs forbidding such U-turns are erected at a point near the intersection for the purpose of warning.
Signs shall be erected at the intersections of Main Street and Court Street, Main Street and Pine Street, Main Street and Bridge Street and at such other places as the Borough Council shall direct by resolution from time to time.
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction before the Mayor or Magisterial District Judge of the Borough, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $5 for the first offense and not more than $25 for each subsequent offense together with cost of prosecution and, in default of the payment of such fine and cost of prosecution, shall undergo imprisonment in the local or county jail for a period not exceeding 10 days.
