Any boat remaining on Village property for more than 24 hours, or after the closing time of a park, shall be considered abandoned. The police shall seize any such boat, and if unclaimed for 30 days or more, it shall be disposed of at public auction in accordance with § 66.0139, Wis. Stats.
A sign shall be erected at any Village-owned boat landing advising the public that abandoned boats are subject to seizure pursuant to this article. The condition or status of the sign shall not affect the enforcement of this article.
The owner of any boat seized pursuant to this article may redeem it prior to public auction upon proof of ownership and payment of any expenses incurred by the Village, including a fee set by the Village Board if the boat was stored in a Village facility.
"Boat" means every description of watercraft used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water.

Any person violating § 225-14 of this article shall be subject to § 1-2 of this Code.
