The Two-Family Residential District is established as a district in which the principal use of land is for two-family and single-family dwellings. The specific intent of this article is to protect the residential character of the district by prohibiting commercial activities, to encourage a suitable neighborhood environment for family life, and to preserve the openness of the district.
In all R-2 Districts, no building or land, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, shall be erected or used except for the following specified uses:
A. 
Any use permitted in the R-1 Single-Family Residential District.
B. 
Two-family dwellings (duplexes).
A. 
Any use classified as a conditional use in the R-1 Single-Family District.
B. 
Mobile homes, provided they meet the following requirements:
(1) 
The mobile home shall be placed on an approved mobile home support, in accordance with Article IV, § 4.07.
(2) 
The mobile home shall be located on its own lot with not less than 15,000 square feet.
