It shall be illegal and unlawful for any person to use or remove salt from City-supplied salt bins along or on public roadways and sidewalks for use on private property, and the use of such salt from City-supplied salt bins shall be restricted solely to City streets, alleys and public sidewalks during dangerous ice and snow conditions.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall face a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, shall face imprisonment for not more than 10 days.
