As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
TRUSS CONSTRUCTION
A combination of members, such as beams, bars and ties, usually arranged in triangular units to form a rigid framework for supporting loads over a span of structural members that connect to span the space between the walls of the building to support a vertical load.
The owner of any building, whether residential or nonresidential, constructed with combustible truss construction in any form or matter shall be required to install and maintain a truss emblem. The emblem shall be permanently affixed to the front of the building at the main entrance door at a height of between four and six feet above the ground. The emblem shall be of a bright and reflective color which contrasts with the background. The shape and size shall be in accordance with that design that is attached hereto and made apart hereof as Exhibit A.[1] The following letters shall be printed on the emblem:
A. 
"F" signifies floor truss construction;
B. 
"R" signifies roof truss construction; or
C. 
"F/R" signifies both floor and roof truss construction.

A. 
Individual structures and dwelling units with truss construction that are part of a planned real estate development shall not be required to have an identifying emblem if there is an emblem affixed at each entrance to the development, the development sign or upon the street signs of the streets within the development.
B. 
For residential applications, the property owner shall have the option of having the emblem affixed on the main street side of the building, at a location visible on approach from the street.
Any violation of Chapter 82 shall be subject to those fines and penalties detailed in Chapter 53A of the West Conshohocken Borough Code Book of Ordinances.
