The City government, under the Mayor-Council Plan of the Optional
Municipal Charter Law, L. 1950, c. 210, as amended (N.J.S.A. 40:69A-1
et seq.), shall, in addition to the elected Municipal Council, consist
of the following offices and departments:
A. Offices.
(2) Office of the City Clerk.
(3) Office of Emergency Management.
B. Departments.
(2) Department of Administration.

(a) Division
of Human Resources. Under the direction of the Business Administrator,
the head of Human Resources is responsible for implementing and managing
recruiting, training, promotion, discipline, administration of insurance
and benefit plans, and labor contract negotiations with the City of
Rahway.
(3) Department of Public Works.
(4) Department of Revenue and Finance.
(8) Department of Recreation and Senior Services.
(9) Department of Code Enforcement.

C. Such
other legislative, judicial, advisory and independent agencies of
local government as provided by the Charter or general law.
D. Such
other appointive officers and employees as are provided by this Code
or other ordinances of the City or otherwise authorized by the Charter
or other applicable law.
