A. 
R-1, Low Density Residential. The R-1 District encourages the creation of blocks with gridded street patterns along with traditional neighborhood development in the areas served by public water and sewer facilities. This district is designed to accommodate single-family detached housing at low to medium densities. Duplexes and multifamily residences are allowed in this district only in the context of planned residential developments.
B. 
R-2, Medium Density Residential, with duplexes allowed by right. The R-2 District encourages the creation of blocks with gridded street patterns along with traditional neighborhood development in the areas served by public water and sewer facilities. This district is designed to accommodate single-family detached housing and duplex units at medium densities. Multifamily residences are allowed in these districts only in the context of planned residential developments.
C. 
R-3, Medium-High Density Residential. The R-3 District encourages the creation of compact blocks with gridded street patterns and is designed to accommodate single-family detached, two-family, and multifamily dwelling units at higher densities.
D. 
R-D, Downtown Residential. The R-D District encourages the creation of compact blocks with gridded street patterns within the existing block structure of the downtown residential areas. This district is designed to accommodate single-family detached housing, duplexes, and multifamily dwelling units at higher densities.
Permitted uses are marked with a "P" in the Unified Use Table set forth in Division 4.8. Conditional uses, subject to conditional use permit approval, are marked with a "C" in the Table of Uses. Expressly prohibited uses are marked with a "NP."
A. 
Travel trailers or motor homes, buses, trucks two tons and over, and similar vehicles or apparatus shall not be stored or parked in front yards for more than 30 consecutive calendar days, and no more than 30 calendar days per year.

B. 
Accessory structures, as defined in this code, shall not be permitted in the front yards. Any yard adjoining a street may be considered a front yard, as defined by this code.
