As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
following meanings:
GROUNDS
The land owned by the Town of Brookfield which surrounds
a school or other public building, including, but not limited to,
parking lots, playing fields, lawns and other open space and any ancillary
structures standing on such grounds.
PUBLIC BUILDING
A building owned or leased by any governmental entity, school
or other building generally used for educational purposes, as defined
in § 1-1(e) of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended.
PUBLIC PLACE.
Any area within the Town of Brookfield that is publicly owned
or controlled and accessible to the general public, including but
not limited to buildings, streets, sidewalks, bridges, alleys, plazas,
parks, beaches, driveways, parking lots, Town Hall, and school grounds.
Any police officer may order any person violating this chapter
to cease and desist from further engaging in or continuing any activity
prohibited by this chapter and may issue a citation for violating
this chapter.
