There is hereby enacted for the City of Hudson a parking violations amnesty program whereby the City of Hudson Parking Ticket Bureau, with the approval of the City Attorney, may cancel, in whole or in part, any penalties imposed for a traffic infraction constituting parking, standing or stopping violations issued within the City of Hudson as hereinafter set forth and accept payment of the face value of the ticket in full satisfaction of said ticket.
The parking violations amnesty program shall only apply to such violations issued on or before January 1, 2020, and shall be effective for a period commencing October 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2023. Amnesty for such tickets shall only be available to individuals prior to an immobilization device being placed on said individual's vehicle and/or prior to said individual's vehicle being towed pursuant to Article IV or V of Chapter 300 of the Hudson City Code.
The Mayor shall develop and implement an advertising campaign to adequately inform the public of the amnesty program.
