In accordance with the powers vested unto Boroughs under the Borough Code, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 46202, it is hereby ordered that a fire lane is required at the following locations:
A. 
Behind the buildings located at Park Avenue and Main Street within the Borough; such fire lane shall have a minimum width of 12 feet, measured from the back of the building located at 700 Main Street extending from Park Avenue South 50 feet beyond the southeastern most corner of the building.
B. 
Along the entire length of the access to the Schwenksville Elementary School from Perkiomen Avenue directly across from 3rd Street.

The Fire Marshal, Mayor or Code Enforcement Officer designated by Borough Council is hereby given authority to enforce compliance with said fire lane. Said official shall post signs reading "No Parking by order of the Fire Marshal of the Borough of Schwenksville." Said Official shall also indicate the prohibited area by painting yellow lines four inches in width on the roadway surface. In addition, he shall paint the words "fire lane" in yellow letters three feet in height on the roadway surface at intervals he deems necessary within the prohibited parking area.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be issued a citation by the Fire Marshal, Mayor or designated Code Enforcement Officer and, upon summary conviction before the District Justice having jurisdiction in the Borough of Schwenksville, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $15 for each such offense, together with costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of any such fine and costs to be sentenced to imprisonment in Montgomery County Jail for a period not to exceed five days.

Article IV, Removal and Impounding of Illegally Parked Vehicles, of this chapter is hereby incorporated in its entirety as an additional remedy available to the Borough for violation of this article.
