§ 42-1 Establishment.

There is hereby established a department to be known as the "Department of Public Works of the Borough of Mendham, in the County of Morris and State of New Jersey."

§ 42-2 Superintendent appointed.

There shall be a Superintendent of Public Works in charge of said Department who shall be appointed annually by the Mayor and approved by the Council to serve at the pleasure of and for a time as may be fixed by Council.

§ 42-3 Power and duties of Superintendent. [1]

It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Public Works to be responsible for all matters relating to the construction, management, maintenance and operation of the physical properties of the borough. The personnel and operations of all borough departments, such as but not limited to the Sewer Department, Road Department, Park Department and the like, shall be under his or her direct supervision and control.
