Open Space and Conservation Commission — See Charter, § C6-6.

To carry out the purposes set forth in C.G.S. §§ 22a-36 through 22a-45, inclusive, Inland Wetlands and Water Courses Act, the Open Space and Conservation Commission is hereby designated as the local agency responsible for adopting and enforcing regulations under said Act.
The Open Space and Conservation Commission is hereby authorized by the Town Council to promulgate regulations, to license regulated activities and to engage in any other necessary functions to carry out the purposes of said Act.

In accordance with Public Act 74-133,[1] provision is hereby made for three alternate members who may serve in the event of the absence or disqualification of a regular member.

The terms of alternate members shall be for four years and shall run from December 1 of the year of appointment.
