All that part of the E 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section (25), Township (28) North, Range (19) East, lying south of the Main River Road (now known as the Stiles Road).

Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SE 1/4 of NE 1/4) of Section (25), Township (28) North, Range (19) East, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast Quarter aforesaid, thence southerly along the west line thereof 646.16 feet more or less to a point which is also the southeast corner of Lot (8), Block (5), George W. Volk's Addition to the City of Oconto Falls. This shall be the place of beginning. Thence northerly along the west line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter aforesaid 180 feet, thence easterly at right angles 120 feet, thence southerly at right angles 210 feet, thence westerly at right angles 120 feet, thence northerly at right angles 30 feet to the place of beginning.

The territory shall be attached to Ward No. 2 for the City of Oconto Falls.
(4) 
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law on June 30, 2004, but, pursuant to § 66.0217(8)(c), Wis. Stats., the annexation is effective upon passage of the ordinance by a vote of 2/3 of all the elected members of the Common Council.

Territory Annexed. Effect of annexation. From and after the date of this ordinance the territory described in this subsection shall be a part of the City of Oconto Falls for any and all purposes provided by law and all persons coming or residing within such territory shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations governing the City of Oconto Falls.
(2) 
Temporary zoning classification.
(a) 
Upon recommendation of the Plan Commission, the territory annexed to the City of Oconto Falls by this ordinance is temporarily zoned as follows, pursuant to § 66.0217(8)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes: Multiple- Family (R-2).
(b) 
The Plan Commission is directed to prepare an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance setting forth permanent classifications and regulations for the zoning of the annexed area and to submit its recommendations to the council not later than June 1, 2014.
(3) 
Ward designation. The territory described in this subsection is hereby designated as Ward 6 and added to Aldermanic District 3 of the City of Oconto Falls, subject to the ordinances, rules and regulations of the City of Oconto Falls governing wards.
(4) 
Severability. If any provision of this ordinance is invalid or unconstitutional, or if the application of this ordinance to any person or circumstances is invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application.
(5) 
Payment to Town. Pursuant to § 66.0217(14), Wis. Stats., the Common Council agrees to pay annually to the Town of Stiles, for five years, an amount equal to the amount of property taxes that the Town levied on the annexed territory, as shown by the tax roll under § 70.65 Wis. Stats., in 2014.

(2) 
Effect of annexation. From and after the adoption of and publication of this ordinance, the territory described in Subsection R(1) shall be detached from the Town of Stiles, Oconto County, Wisconsin and made part of the City of Oconto Falls for any and all purposes provided by law and all persons coming and residing within such territories shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations governing the City of Oconto Falls.
(3) 
Required filings. The City Clerk shall file immediately with the Secretary of State a certified copy of the ordinance, with a copy of the petition and plat of survey (Exhibit A) and the legal description and the City Clerk shall send one copy to each company that provides any utility service in the area that is attached. The City Clerk shall also record the ordinance with the Register of Deeds and file a signed copy of the ordinance with the clerk of any affected school district. The Clerk's certificate shall include reference to the population of the territory being attached as set forth in the petition, which population is zero persons.
(4) 
Municipal boundary review. The petition for annexation is located in Oconto County, that has a population under 50,000 and therefore a municipal boundary review is not required by the Wisconsin Department of Administration. Oconto County's population is 38,965 as of April 1, 2020, census data.
(5) 
Severability. If any provision of this ordinance is invalid or unconstitutional, or if application of this ordinance to any person or circumstance is invalid or unconstitutional, such unconstitutionality shall not affect other provisions or obligations of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application.
(6) 
Effective date. This ordinance shall be effective upon passage and publication as required by law and the Zoning Administrator is hereby directed to make necessary changes to the Zoning Maps forthwith. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make necessary changes to the Election Map forthwith and file the changes with the Wisconsin Election Commission.
