There is now hereby formed a Traffic Safety Committee which will consist of the Borough Engineer and seven voting members to be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council. The term of office for the members of the committee will be three years staggered with each individual term expiration date being December 31.
There shall be ex officio members representing Middlesex Borough Board of Education, Middlesex Borough Council and Middlesex Borough Police Department.
The mission of the Traffic Safety Committee is to save lives, prevent injuries and reduce property damage, resulting from preventable traffic collisions, and to improve overall traffic problems, pedestrian safety and bicycle safety within Middlesex Borough. The Committee will:
A. 
Collect and review concerns and issues from the public, the police, the Borough Engineer and the Mayor and Council.
B. 
Schedule hearing and/or meeting to discuss such concerns and issues and make recommendations to the Borough Council and/or Police Department.
