No person, except a person acting in the performance of some duty required by law, shall hunt with or discharge any air gun, pistol or other firearm loaded with balls, shot, metallic material or powder within the limits of the Town of Marblehead, except for the purpose of shooting migratory game over the waters within the police jurisdiction of the Town of Marblehead.
The Selectmen, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding section, may grant permits to responsible persons for the purpose of using and discharging the weapons and firearms named in § 67-1 for the purpose of target practice upon such terms as the Selectmen shall deem expedient.
