The Board of Commissioners of Lower Pottsgrove Township may, from time to time, amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter by proceeding in the following manner.
A. 
The Board of Commissioners, by resolution at a regular or special meeting, shall fix the time and place of a public hearing on the proposed amendment and cause 30 days' notice thereof to be given as follows: by publishing a notice thereof twice in one newspaper of general circulation in the Township.
B. 
The notice shall state either the full text of the proposed ordinance or amendment or the title and a brief summary prepared by the Township Solicitor and setting forth all the provisions in reasonable detail. If the full text is not included:
(1) 
A copy thereof shall be supplied to a newspaper of general circulation in the Township at the time the public notice is published.
(2) 
An attested copy of the proposed ordinance shall be filed in the Count Law Library or other county office designated by the County Commissioners.
C. 
Whenever a proposed amendment affects a particular property, then there shall be posted upon said property or premises at such place or places as the Board of Commissioners may direct notice of said proposed amendment.
D. 
In the event substantial changes are made in the proposed ordinance or amendment, before voting upon enactment the Board of Commissioners shall, at least 10 days prior to enactment, readvertise in one newspaper of general circulation in the Township a brief summary setting forth all the provisions in reasonable detail, together with a summary of the amendments.

All proposed amendments, before adoption, shall be referred to the Lower Pottsgrove Township Planning Commission and the Montgomery County Planning Commission at least 30 days prior to the public hearing for recommendation and report, which shall not be binding. Within 30 days after adoption, the Board of Commissioners shall forward a certified copy of any amendment to this chapter to the Montgomery County Planning Commission.
