No person shall use any of the streets or public alleys in Latrobe
for the conduct of any commercial or business activity that is normally
conducted upon private property, including, but not limited to, the
washing of vehicles and the making of repairs thereto (other than
of an emergency nature), the display of merchandise, including any
vehicle offered for sale, the placing of any advertisement, display
or demonstration, and storage of vehicles and equipment. For purposes
of this selection, the term "storage" shall mean the parking of any
vehicles or equipment in excess of 24 hours.
The Mayor shall have the authority to waive the provisions of §
256-68 for special events. Such waiver shall continue only for the duration of the event.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this article
shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than $600 and costs of prosecution or, in default of payment
of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than
30 days, provided that each day's violation of any of the provisions
of this article shall constitute a separate offense.
