There is hereby reestablished in the City of
Brigantine the Brigantine Ward Commission, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:44-9
to 40:44-18.
Membership in the Brigantine Ward Commission
shall include the Municipal Clerk and the appointed members of the
Atlantic County Board of Elections, during their respective terms
of office.
Compensation of each of the Ward Commissioners
and additional compensation to the City Clerk shall be as set forth
in the ordinance of the City of Brigantine calling the Ward Commission
into session.[1]
All regularly incurred expenses of the Ward
Commission shall be reimbursed upon certification to the City Clerk
of the City of Brigantine of such service of each Ward Commissioner
and of the Ward Commission as a whole. No individual expense of any
Ward Commissioner shall be reimbursed unless approved by the affirmative
vote of the members of the Commission. The Ward Commission is authorized
to incur expense for the services of the City Engineer and City Solicitor,
as such are required.
