Washington Township Councilmen shall be compensated on a meeting-attended basis at a rate of $50 per meeting for up to a maximum of 30 meetings (16 meetings for general road purposes, 14 meetings for other business, such as hearings and appeals, etc.); thereafter, any time required for township business by Washington Township Council shall be on a gratis basis.
Payment for meetings attended shall be quarterly and at the end of each quarter in order to determine attendance records.
Expenses incurred for township business other than meetings shall be paid out of the township general fund (i.e., mileage at $0.20 per mile, vehicle rental, office rent, stationery, lights, etc.) and be reimbursed quarterly upon receipt of expenditure verification.
