No signs, advertisements, notices, notes, placards or communication of any kind unauthorized by the Public Safety Committee of Council are permitted to be placed against or attached to traffic signs and utility poles belonging to the Borough of Tarentum and/or utility poles within the borders of Tarentum of which the Borough has use or any poles in the public right-of-way.
Notices of events benefiting any charities or other nonprofit organizations which are exempt from real estate taxes may be authorized upon certain safety conditions and time restraints and limitations regarding parking or traffic control by the Public Safety Committee of the Borough of Tarentum.
A. 
First conviction: $10 for each sign, notice or placard placed prior to first conviction, plus court costs.
B. 
Second conviction: $25 for each sign, notice or placard placed prior to second conviction, plus court costs.
Violators shall be ordered to pay the costs and wages for the removal and disposal of each sign, notice, placard, etc., in violation of this article.
