It shall be unlawful and shall be a nuisance to permit snow to remain on any sidewalk or walkways in the Borough of Marcus Hook for a period of 24 hours after the snow has ceased to fall.
All owners and/or occupiers of any lot or building and lot abutting any street or lane in the Borough of Marcus Hook shall remove from the sidewalk or walkway in front of said premises all snow, ice, slush or any remains whatsoever of snow or sleet within 24 hours after the same has ceased to fall.
In any and all cases were the owners and/or occupiers as aforesaid shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any provisions of this article within 24 hours after snow has ceased to fall, then the Borough authorities may proceed without further notice immediately to clear all snow and/or ice and slush from the sidewalk of such properties and to collect the expenses thereof, with any additional amount allowed by law, from such owner and/or occupier, as the case may be, which may be in addition to any fine or penalty imposed under this article.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable for each offense by a fine of up to the maximum amount provided from time to time by state statute.
