These additions will provide instant identification of the bicycle by the motorist. The reflectorized pedals will give the approaching motorist a visual strobe effect as they turn. The wheel hoops are achieved through the use of either open beading material vulcanized into the tire carcass or tape or paint applied to the wheel rim, depending on the type of brake system. A three-sixteenths-inch circular band will provide 16 square inches of reflective surface.
