A.
License. The City Clerk is hereby authorized
to issue a valid business license to all qualified persons seeking
a license to operate a horse-drawn taxi service within the City of
Ironton, Missouri. Said applicants shall, subject to all traffic and
safety ordinances within the City, be permitted to operate a horse-drawn
taxi service within the City limits of Ironton, Missouri.
B.
Safety Devices. Any person operating a
horse-drawn taxi shall insure that there are proper reflectors and/or
lights attached to the rear of the carriage so as to alert any oncoming
traffic of the presence of said horse-drawn carriage. The operator
shall insure that no horse is permitted to deposit waste within or
upon the City streets, alleys or any other private property of the
City of Ironton, Missouri. The operator shall also insure that such
waste is properly and safely disposed of.
C.
Insurance. Said operator shall maintain
and provide proof to the City of Ironton, Missouri, on no less than
an annual basis, and prior to receiving his or her business license,
that they have full liability insurance in an amount no less than
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for an individual and three
hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) per occurrence. The City of
Ironton, Missouri, shall be named as an additional insured on such
policy.
D.
Hours Of Operation. Said horse-drawn taxis
shall be permitted to operate upon the City streets of the City of
Ironton between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 11:00 P.M.
