In addition to any requirement set forth by the New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation fishing permit, no person
may engage in fishing within 10 feet of the shoreline of Greenwood
Lake, within the Village of Greenwood Lake, Inc., or access the waters,
or frozen waters, of Greenwood Lake, from the shoreline of Greenwood
Lake, within the Village of Greenwood Lake, Inc., in order to engage
in fishing without a fishing permit properly issued by the Village
of Greenwood Lake, Inc.:
A. Application
for a Village fishing permit must be made by form issued by the Clerk
of the Village of Greenwood Lake.
B. Application
for a Village fishing permit shall require payment of a fee as set
by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Greenwood Lake.
C. Application
for a Village fishing permit must be made in person by the applicant.
D. A Village
fishing permit shall only be valid for one calendar day.
E. A Village
fishing permit shall only be valid on the calendar day on which it
is issued.
F. A Village
fishing permit may not be transferred or assigned.
G. A previous
conviction for a violation of the provisions of this chapter shall
be grounds for denial of an application for a Village fishing permit.
Violations of this chapter will constitute a municipal infraction
and will be subject to all applicable penalties, including a fine
set by the by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Greenwood Lake.
