It shall be the duty of the Village Treasurer
to receive and keep all funds belonging to the Village.
It shall be the duty of the Village Treasurer
to pay out all moneys that may at any time be due or payable from
the Village to any person whomsoever; provided, however, that no money
shall be paid out by said Treasurer except upon a warrant of the Village
countersigned by the Mayor.
When payments are made by the Village Treasurer,
the warrants countersigned by the Mayor, together with the receipt
of the person to whom payment is made, specifying the sum paid, shall
be the only vouchers for such payments.
It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to keep
an account of the debts and credits of all receipts and disbursements
made by him and to render an accounting thereof to the Village Board
of Trustees whenever required by it.
