A. 
Thirty miles per hour. Thirty miles per hour is hereby designated as the maximum speed at which vehicles may proceed on or along highways within the corporate limits of the Village of Skaneateles, except as otherwise provided herein.
B. 
Twenty miles per hour. Twenty miles per hour is hereby established as the maximum school speed limit on the following highways:
(1) 
East Elizabeth Street from the intersection of East Street a distance of 1,560 feet west of the East Street curbline.

The following intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections and stop signs shall be erected as indicated. Except when directed to proceed by a police officer, every driver of a vehicle approaching a stop sign shall stop at a clearly marked stop line, but if none then shall stop before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or, in the event there is no crosswalk, at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of the approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the intersection.

The following intersections are hereby designated as yield intersections, and yield signs shall be placed as indicated. Except when directed to proceed by a police officer, every driver of a vehicle approaching a yield sign shall, in obedience to such sign, slow down to a speed reasonable for existing conditions or shall stop, if necessary, and shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian legally crossing the roadway on which she or he is driving and to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching the intersection on another roadway so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time such driver is moving across or within the intersection.

A. 
Bicycles and tricycles may be ridden on all the sidewalks of the Village except those specified below:
(1) 
No bicycles shall be ridden on the south side of Genesee Street, from the westerly boundary of Thayer Park (located east of the Legg Building), thence westerly to the Village boat ramp (located on the easterly side of Clift Park).
(2) 
No bicycles shall be ridden on the north side of Genesee Street, from the easterly boundary of State Street, thence westerly to the easterly boundary of the City of Syracuse waterworks.
(3) 
No bicycles shall be ridden on the east side of Jordan Street from its intersection with Genesee Street, thence northerly to the northerly boundary line of the property located at 28 Jordan Street (Tax Map No. 007-04-44).

(4) 
No bicycles shall be operated on the westerly side of Jordan Street, from its intersection with Genesee Street, thence northerly to the northerly boundary of the property located at 2-4 Fennell Street (Tax Map No. 006-05-30).

B. 
Riders of bicycles shall walk their bicycles in these areas.
C. 
The operation of minibikes and motorbikes shall not be allowed on the sidewalks of the Village in accordance with the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
D. 
The violation of this section shall be deemed an offense and a violation thereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.[2]

A. 
It is hereby determined that the use of skateboards and rollerblades on sidewalks within the Downtown D District is unsafe to pedestrians and said users.
B. 
The use of skateboards and rollerblades on the sidewalks during all hours of the day or night is prohibited in the following areas:
(1) 
On the south side of Genesee Street, from the westerly boundary of property owned by St. James Episcopal Church, thence westerly to the intersection of West Genesee Street and West Lake Street.
(2) 
On the north side of Genesee Street, from the easterly boundary of the property located at 91 East Genesee Street (Tax Map No. 007-03-27), thence westerly to its intersection with Hannum Street.
(3) 
On the east side of Jordan Street from its intersection with Genesee Street, thence northerly to the northerly boundary line of the property located at 28 Jordan Street (Tax Map No. 007-04-44).
(4) 
On the westerly side of Jordan Street from its intersection with Genesee Street, thence northerly to the northerly boundary of the property located at 2-4 Fennell Street (Tax Map No. 006-05-30).
C. 
The violation of this section shall be deemed an offense and a violation thereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.

A. 
Trucks in excess of five tons are hereby excluded from the following highways or streets in this Village:

(1) 
Kelley Street.
B. 
This truck exclusion shall not apply to trucks making deliveries or pickups of property along the highways or streets from which trucks are otherwise excluded.
C. 
"Truck" is defined in § 158 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
D. 
Village Streets from which trucks in excess of a specified weight are excluded shall have signs posted specifying such exclusions and limitations.
