An Independent Auditor, who shall be a certified
public accountant registered in Pennsylvania or a firm of certified
public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant
or a competent firm of public accountants, is hereby appointed. The
Independent Auditor shall be appointed, annually, by resolution before
the close of the fiscal year.
The duty of the independent accountant is to make an independent examination of the accounting records of Media for such fiscal year and such other duties and shall exercise such other powers as are conferred upon him by Subdivision (k) of Article XI of the Borough Code (53 P.S. § 46196).
The office of the elected Borough Auditor is
hereby abolished.
