Any tenant or occupant of any building or lot of land within the Town of Middletown or, when the same is not rented or occupied, the owner, or owner's agent, shall keep the sidewalks free from all obstructions, and on the falling of any snow shall have it removed within 24 hours from the time of its ceasing to fall. Any tenant, occupant, or owner violating this article shall forfeit and pay a fine as provided in § 146-13 and all costs. Each day the snow or other obstruction is not removed, as set forth herein, shall constitute a separate offense.

All property holders or persons occupying property in the Town of Middletown shall keep the gutters in front of the property or properties they occupy free from all obstruction or garbage or rubbish, so that the water can have free course to run off, under a penalty as provided in § 146-13 and costs for each and every offense.

Violations of this article shall be punishable by a fine of $25 per offense, each day being a separate offense.
