It shall be unlawful for anyone to remove a shopping cart beyond the property limits of a shopping center or store within the Borough that supplies the same for use by its customers and/or to keep a shopping cart on any residential property located within the Borough unless the same has been purchased directly by, or given as a lawful gift to, a resident thereof.
It shall be unlawful for any shopping center or store owner and/or operator to allow shopping carts that are owned by him or her and improperly removed from his or her respective properties to remain abandoned on any public street within the Borough.
Any violation of this chapter shall be governed by the provisions of § 1-17, or successor section, of this Code.
