There is hereby created the position of Qualified Purchasing Agent.
A.
The Qualified Purchasing Agent shall serve as a purchasing
agent as defined in N.J.A.C. 5:34-5.1.
B.
The QPA will hold a valid QPA certificate as approved
by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, to perform certain
provisions of the Local Public Contract Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et
seq.)
The QPA shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the consent of the
Council.
