The Borough Council of the Borough of Eddystone designates the area within 1,000 feet of the real property of the Eddystone Elementary School as a school safety zone under Act 31 of 1988.[1]

The Borough Council of the Borough of Eddystone hereby directs the Chief of Police to obtain and erect appropriate municipal signs designating the area within 1,000 feet of the Eddystone Elementary School as a school safety zone.
The Chief of Police is authorized and directed to take such appropriate action as may be necessary for the determination of the boundary of the designated drug-free school zone of the Eddystone Elementary School and to provide such surveys, maps and/or photographs as may be necessary and appropriate to designate said area.
A. 
The Chief of Police shall provide the District Attorney of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, the Police Department of Ridley Township and the Juvenile Court authorities of the County of Delaware copies of such surveys, maps and/or photographs showing or depicting the area around the Eddystone Elementary School which has been designated as a school safety zone.
B. 
The Chief of Police shall provide copies of such maps, surveys and/or photographs, along with copies of the official school drug-free school zone signs posted by the municipalities, to businesses, public places, institutions or other appropriate buildings or sites for the display of such posters and/or maps and/or photographs within each school safety zone.
C. 
The Chief of Police shall arrange with the principal of Eddystone Elementary School to display such poster and/or photographs describing the drug-free school zone in the Eddystone Elementary School.
D. 
The Chief of Police shall deliver a certified copy of this article to the District Attorney of Delaware County and the Juvenile Court authorities of Delaware County.
