Effective January 1, 1993, all persons thereafter hired by the village
as full-time employees shall be hired, consistent with all applicable federal
and state statutes, conditioned on their satisfactory completion of a screening
test to detect the presence of illegal drugs and, for those persons to be
hired as members of the Fire or Police Departments, conditioned further on
their completion of a satisfactory psychological evaluation.
The Mayor is authorized to enter into negotiations with health care
providers for the administering of the drug tests and psychological profiles,
subject to ratification by the Board of Trustees.
