[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Mercer
County 9-25-2014 by Ord. No. 2014-10 (Ch. 2.11A of the 2003 Mercer County Code). Amendments
noted where applicable.]
[Pursuant to P.L. 2020, c. 67, effective 1-1-2021, the Code
of Mercer County has been amended to delete the term “Board
of Chosen Freeholders” and replace it with the term “Board
of County Commissioners.” In addition, the terms “Freeholder”
and “Chosen Freeholder” have been deleted and replaced
by the term “County Commissioner.”]
The Director shall be qualified by education and responsible
supervisory experience in supervision of economic development opportunities,
employment creation/fostering, housing and related issues.

The Department shall include the functions of Cultural Heritage,
One-Stop Career Center, Housing & Community Development, Minority
Business Enterprises, Workforce Investment Board, and such other related
functions as the County Executive may assign.
The Department shall be organized or reorganized pursuant to
plan approved by the County Executive.
