For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:
COUNTY LANDS
Any real property owned by the County of Rockland.
SHERIFF
The duly elected Sheriff of the County of Rockland and such deputies as he shall appoint.
WATERFOWL
Those game birds commonly known as geese, brant, swans and river and sea ducks, also classified as anatidae.
No person shall feed any waterfowl on any County lands, except in areas designated for feeding by the Rockland County Parks Commission from time to time.
The Sheriff shall have the power, right and authority to issue an appearance ticket, as the same is defined in Article 150 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the State of New York, for any violation of this chapter.
Any person who violates this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $250.
