No person, firm or corporation shall, after
the effective date of this chapter, open or keep any public pool or
billiard saloon or room within the limits of the Township of Montville
except after obtaining a license from the Township Clerk and paying
therefor an annual fee as set forth in Chapter 169, Fee Schedule,
for each table so maintained, which license fee is imposed for revenue.
§ 98-2 License application.
Application for such license shall be made in
writing to the Clerk of the municipality and shall state the name
of the applicant, the owner of the premises and the number of tables
to be licensed.
§ 98-3 Issuance of license.
The granting of such license shall be at the
discretion of the Township Committee. The license shall be signed
by the Township Clerk.
§ 98-4 Term of license.
The year for which said license shall be issued
shall begin on the first day of September and end on the 31st day
of the following August.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which,
after the effective date of this chapter, shall maintain any such
pool or billiard saloon or room without first having obtained a license
for each table, or who shall otherwise violate any of the provisions
of this chapter, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject such penalties
as are provided for in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty.
