Whenever the following terms are used in this article, they
shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section
as follows:
Any of the following: Underwriters Testing Laboratories,
Factory Mutual Research Corp., National Bureau of Standards or NFPA.
The Fire Code Official of the Township of Franklin who is
appointed to enforce the Uniform Fire Code in said Township.
A building or portion of a building arranged and utilized
as a residential rental dwelling for the use of one or more individuals
living alone or together; which provides living, sanitary and sleeping
facilities; also including house trailers, but no mobile trailers
and tents. Rooms for rent, apartments, and one- or two-family homes
are included as residential rental units.
An instrument approved by an approved rating organization
for the detection of ionized or products of combustion produced by
burning or smoldering materials.
