There shall be created the position of Code Enforcement Officer in the Borough of Middlesex.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the governing body.
A. 
It shall be the responsibility of the Code Enforcement Officer to enforce the following enumerated ordinances as set forth in the Code of the Borough of Middlesex:
(1) 
Chapter 403, Abandoned Vehicles.
(2) 
Chapter 224, Flood Damage Prevention.
(3)

B. 
Although the Code Enforcement Officer's primary responsibility shall be enforcing the above-enumerated ordinances, other municipal employees and officials may also enforce said ordinances, and the delegation of this enforcement duty to the Code Enforcement Officer shall not preclude others from enforcing said ordinances.
The salary,[1] working hours and schedule of the Code Enforcement Officer shall be fixed by the Mayor and Council.
