GENERAL REFERENCES
Alcoholic beverages — See Ch. 74.
No person shall disturb the peace and quiet of the City of Gloversville by noisy, riotous or tumultuous conduct. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall use any vulgar, obscene or profane language in any street or public place in the City of Gloversville. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall use any threatening, insulting or abusive language which shall tend to provoke a breach of the peace of the City of Gloversville. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall willfully give or assist in giving a false alarm of fire in the City of Gloversville. Any person violating this section shall be dealt with according to law.
No person shall do any obscene or insulting act tending to provoke a breach of the peace in the City of Gloversville. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall incite or induce any dog or dogs to fight in any street or public place in the City of Gloversville. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall cast into any pond or stream of the City of Gloversville any dead animal, offal, filth or foul or offensive substance or thing or any earth, stones or rubbish of any kind. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall play at any game or amusement, or engage in any act or practice in or adjacent to any street or public place in the City of Gloversville which shall endanger the person or property of another, but this shall not be deemed to prohibit the carrying on of any lawful business or calling upon the premises of any person or the use of the usual and necessary signals in any such business or calling. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person or persons shall gather or assemble upon the streets or sidewalks or any public place within the City of Gloversville; nor shall any person or persons impede or delay the passage of any person along such streets, sidewalks or public places or obstruct the entrance to any building, enclosure or public place. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
No person shall deal out or distribute to passersby on the streets of said city or circulate upon said streets or the public places of said city any printed handbill or circular intended as an advertisement of any kind. Any person violating this section shall be apprehended and dealt with according to law.
A. 
Any person who discharges any species of firearm, air gun, starter pistol, except one being used by an official at a sporting event, or other weapon in the City of Gloversville is guilty of a violation.
B. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AIR GUN
Spring gun or other instrument or weapon in which the propelling force is a spring or air.
FIREARM
Any pistol, revolver, sawed-off shotgun, other firearm of a size which may be concealed upon the person, any rifle, machine gun, shotgun or any other weapon as defined in §265.00 of the Penal Law.
OTHER WEAPON
Longbow, crossbow, slingshot or any weapon capable of releasing a projectile.
STARTER PISTOL
Pistol or revolver that is capable of only using blank cartridges.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter may be punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) or imprisonment for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) days, or both.
