[Adopted 7-21-2020 by Res. No. 572-2020]
A.
The Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency is hereby directed to establish a voluntary "Female Veterans of Suffolk County Registry" ("Registry") for the purposes of outreach, providing resources to female veterans, and advertising veterans organizations and benefits to female veterans.
B.
The Registry shall be used by the County to provide female veterans with relevant resources, assistance and to connect them with other members of the female veteran community in Suffolk County.
The Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency shall advertise the Registry and its purpose prominently on its website and shall include a link to a fillable online form where female veterans may register.
The Registry shall be designed and implemented in a manner which allows registrants to indicate preferences on whether their information should be kept private or disseminated to resources that may be able to assist them, as well as allowing requests for contact from a representative of the Veterans Services Agency and/or a representative of the Woman Veterans Advisory Board.
The Registry shall be established and available on the Veterans Service Agency website within 90 days of the effective date of this article.
