Every tenant or occupant and, in case there
shall be no tenant or occupant, every owner, person, firm or corporation
having the care or charge of any land or building fronting on any
street, road or thoroughfare in the Borough of Churchill, aforesaid,
where there is a sidewalk paved with brick, concrete, stone or other
material shall, within 24 hours after the ceasing to fall of any snow
or sleet or the accumulation of ice caused by freezing after rainfall,
cause the same to be removed from such sidewalk.

Any person or persons who shall fail, neglect
or refuse to comply with, or who shall violate the provisions of this
article, shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before
the District Justice of the Borough of Churchill, be sentenced to
pay a fine of not more than $600, together with costs of prosecution
or, in default of payment thereof, to be imprisoned for a period of
not more than 30 days.
