The Fire Prevention Advisory Board of the Town of Huntington
shall meet for the purpose of making written recommendations to the
Town Board relating to the Fire Prevention Code, fire prevention and
protection.
(A)
The Board shall consist of nine (9) members comprised as follows:
(1)
The Chief Fire Marshal of the Town of Huntington; and
(2)
Three (3) fire chiefs from the Town of Huntington Fire Chiefs
Council; and
(3)
Three (3) members from the Town of Huntington Fire District
Officers Association; and
(4)
One (1) member to be chosen by the Town Board for a term of
three (3) years.
(5)
The president of the Fire Inspectors Association.
(B)
The Town Board shall appoint the Fire Chief and District Officers
Association Representatives upon the recommendation of their respective
organizations to a term of three (3) years, except that the members
first appointed shall have staggered terms of office for one (1),
two (2), and three (3) years as recommended by their respective organizations.
(C)
The Fire Prevention Advisory Board shall be selected from its duly
appointed members a Chairman and Vice Chairman on an annual basis.
