The Fire Prevention Advisory Board of the Town of Huntington shall meet for the purpose of making written recommendations to the Town Board relating to the Fire Prevention Code, fire prevention and protection.
(A) 
The Board shall consist of nine (9) members comprised as follows:
(1) 
The Chief Fire Marshal of the Town of Huntington; and
(2) 
Three (3) fire chiefs from the Town of Huntington Fire Chiefs Council; and
(3) 
Three (3) members from the Town of Huntington Fire District Officers Association; and
(4) 
One (1) member to be chosen by the Town Board for a term of three (3) years.
(5) 
The president of the Fire Inspectors Association.
(B) 
The Town Board shall appoint the Fire Chief and District Officers Association Representatives upon the recommendation of their respective organizations to a term of three (3) years, except that the members first appointed shall have staggered terms of office for one (1), two (2), and three (3) years as recommended by their respective organizations.
(C) 
The Fire Prevention Advisory Board shall be selected from its duly appointed members a Chairman and Vice Chairman on an annual basis.
(A) 
Appointments to fill vacancies shall be made by the Town Board and shall be for the unexpired term of the vacancy.
(B) 
The members of the Fire Prevention Advisory Board shall serve without compensation.
(A) 
A quorum shall consist of five (5) members and shall be necessary for the transaction of business of the Board.
(B) 
A majority of the members present at a meeting shall be necessary for passage of a written recommendation to the Town Board.
